File uploads and processing

PDFPixel tools process files directly in your browser using JavaScript and HTML5 Canvas. Files are not uploaded to any external server. Temporary preview and download links are revoked when results are replaced, reset, or the tool is closed. This releases browser references; it does not securely erase memory or delete originals or downloaded files. Tool files are held in browser memory, not stored by a PDFPixel upload service.

Information we collect

• Contact form submissions: name, email address, reason, and message text.
• Hosting and CDN providers receive request metadata such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL. This repository does not define their log retention. PDF.js, jsPDF, and JSZip are loaded from cdnjs when needed; those requests do not contain your selected file bytes.
• Cookie consent records stored in your browser via localStorage.
• Analytics: no measurement ID is configured, so analytics scripts are disabled in this release.

Cookies

PDFPixel stores preferences in localStorage under pdfpixel_cookie_consent. Optional categories are currently disabled:

• Essential storage uses localStorage to remember your choice; navigation itself does not need cookies.
• Analytics cookies are disabled because no analytics service is configured.
• Advertising cookies are disabled pending a verified certified CMP integration.

You can manage your cookie preferences through the consent banner, the Cookie settings link in the footer, or by clearing your browser data.

Google AdSense and third-party ads

Advertising scripts are disabled in this release. The existing publisher verification entry is retained, but the site preference panel is not a Google-certified CMP. Before ads are enabled, the operator must configure and verify a certified CMP with TCF support where Google requires it. See Google’s publisher requirements.

Data sharing

PDFPixel does not sell personal data. No analytics or advertising scripts are loaded in this release. The contact form sends name, email, reason, and message to Web3Forms (api.web3forms.com), which forwards the submission to the operator. Do not include confidential documents or sensitive information. Contact messages are separate from local tool files.

Your rights

Depending on your location (including under GDPR for EU/EEA residents), you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, email hello@pdfpixel.dev. Since files are processed locally and not stored by PDFPixel, file deletion requests apply to contact submissions, consent records, and analytics data.
